Pink Saturday

I've been absent from Pink Saturday the past few weeks. We've been out of town, without internet access, so I've had no way to link to Pink Saturday. I am guessing there's a way from my phone but have yet to be successful.

Today I am sharing a couple of pink roses from my garden.

Happy Pink Saturday !!!!!

Happy Birthday to Pink Saturday! Pink Saturday is celebrating 3 years today!!!
I love all things pink! A big THANK YOU to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting each week!!

It's a little hard to tell from this picture but everything about this house is pink. I found this house on our trip to Brownville, Nebraska a few weeks ago.

Have you taken a Zumba class? Zumba is a fun way to exercise! The teacher handed out these bracelets in class a few weeks ago. Of course, I chose pink!

Pink Saturday - Signs of Spring

I've been a little lax in posting Pink Saturday the past couple of weeks. Seems I haven't had much pink to share. I wish I could say these beautiful pink tulips were from my garden but I can't. They're from Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's always has the most beautiful flowers and the most reasonable prices.

Happy Easter and Pink Saturday everyone!!!

Pink Saturday

Are you looking forward to Spring as much as I am? Winter just doesn't want to go away! We've had snow twice in the past week. No real accumulation, just annoying!
Happy Pink Saturday!!!

I am linking this to Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound! Thanks to Beverly for hosting this fun party each week!!!

Pink Saturday - Vacation Time!

In February of 2007, in celebration of my 50th birthday, Tim and I went on Mexican Riviera cruise. One of the stops was Cabo. Having been there before, I knew we needed to make a stop at The Office. The Office is a very well known beach bar in Cabo. You can sit with your feet in the sand, drink a cold one and purchase trinkets from the vendors. I've always loved pink and couldn't pass up the pink cowboy hat. Does it really get any better? Sand, sun, cocktails and shopping!

As you read this, we're on a plane headed to Cabo for a week of sunshine, cocktails and relaxation. Happy Pink Saturday!

Pink Saturday - Vacation Anticipation

I am not very good at taking pictures to have on hand for Pink Saturday posts. Instead of borrowing one from the internet, I try to find one in my own picture library. There's lots of shades of pink and many interpretations of color. To me these buildings have pink roofs, so work with me on this one! This picture was taken from our cabin, before we sailed away from St. Martin on our 2008 Caribbean cruise.

There's nothing better than a warm weather winter vacation, it helps the long winter seem a little more bearable and go a little faster. We leave in a week for warm weather and sunshine. I can't wait!

Happy Pink Saturday! As most of us have snow on the ground, how about a beautiful water lily to remind us all of warmer weather! I am linking this to Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound!!

Lauritzen Gardens, our local botanical garden has a beautiful poinsettia show every winter. They grow all of their own pointsettias in the greenhouses at the gardens. They feature many varieties of poinsettias not normally seen at your local nursery.

Merry Christmas and Happy Pink Saturday!!

This week for Pink Saturday, Beverly suggested we share what we are doing today. We're traveling a total of 1200 miles this holiday season. We traveled from Omaha to Kansas City (my home) on Thursday. Last night we drove back home to Omaha long enough to rest our head on the pillow for a few hours. Today we're traveling to Darfur, Minnesota (Tim's home). I made sure to pack a few snacks and water. Nothing is open on Christmas day, unless you want Chinese food.

Despite the number of miles, it's been a wonderful holiday season for us. Justin and Lily with were with us for a few days. For the first time in five years, we saw my family and friends in KC for Christmas Eve. Today we're celebrating Christmas with Tim's mom and sisters.

Wherever you are or whatever you are doing today, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Day! Merry Christmas!

Favorite Holiday Song - Pink Saturday

Today on Pink Saturday, we're featuring our favorite holiday song. It's impossible for me to pick a favorite Christmas song. I love them all, from the fun ones like Rudolph or Frosty, to the traditional ones like Joy to the World or Hark the Herald Angels Sing. Instead I am sharing a song from my childhood. If you came to our house around Christmas time, chances are you'd hear this playing on the record player. My Dad's always been a bit of a jokester, this song, I Just Go Nuts At Christmas, was Dad's favorite.

What's your favorite Christmas song?
