Do you have a Trader Joe's in your city? Trader Joe's opened in Omaha last week. Tim and I stopped by on Saturday night about 7:30. The aisles were packed with shoppers and the shelves were somewhat empty. With the crowds, it was hard to see everything and shop. We decided, we'll come back when the newness wears off.
I've read lots of posts about your favorite Trader Joe's items. I wish I had written them down or saved them. We didn't have a Trader Joe's in Omaha and I didn't think we'd get one any time soon. Do you have a favorite Trader Joe product I should try?

We don't have one in my city, but there is one about 2 hours away in the closest major city. I like to visit when I'm there!

We LOVE TJ's Tomato Basil Marinara Sauce!
ReplyDeleteThe frozen fettucine alfredo was excellent! Their nut butters are awesome! I like their lemon kitchen hand soap. The cheese selection is fantastic! Nice sauces. Crackers. The nuts and dried fruits! So many excellent things to get! I love their chocolate covered cherries. I could go on all day, I love the place!
ReplyDeleteWe don<t have Trader Joe in our area; but sounds like a place I would love. We have Costco; not sure if it is similar.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TJ!!! My favorite thing they carry is their honey sesame cashews. Seriously addicting.
ReplyDeleteTrader Joe's is a great place. We also have the Mustard Seed here which is on a larger scale I like it better.
ReplyDeleteI love TJ's! I buy their chicken and beef stock. I also buy their frozen fish.
ReplyDeleteOh! I love TJ. I love so many of their desserts, but my favorite is their panna cotta. I eat it frozen even though it tells you to let it defrost. It's delicious with the blueberries and peaches that are supposed to be on the top, but really are on the bottom when I eat it. YUM!
ReplyDeleteKansas City is getting TWO Trader Joe's next year, and I am SO excited. Before now, the closest ones were in St. Louis. I am so glad new ones are popping up in other places!
ReplyDeleteI love TJ's. We get the 3 buck wine there all the time for cooking (and drinking). I love their frozen roasted corn and the hummus!
ReplyDeleteI actually braved it and made it in last weekend. I agree, it was packed! I, too, want to go back when I can look around a little better, however, I still scored some whole wheat pizza dough that ended up being pretty good on Saturday night =)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy going there when I'm home in California. I'm trying to remember a favorite thing...their products are generally wonderful.
ReplyDeletePS Julie, I can't find an email from you on my gmail account.
WE have two here and I really can't go in too often. I could spend the day - I love the look and feel of everything in there. Each label is intoxicating - and I could buy every bottle of wine in there!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
